Home renovations in Redditch
Cubit Contracts renovates homes in Redditch, from kitchen and ground floor remodels to whole-house refurbishments. As a third-generation family building firm, we plan carefully, manage every trade and finish each job properly.

Bring your home up to date
The town has everything from Victorian and Edwardian houses in its older areas to the family homes built when it became a new town, and many of these are now ready for significant updating. Common improvements include opening up a separate kitchen and dining room, replacing tired heating and electrics, and reworking layouts that no longer suit the way a family lives.
We handle the structural work, the trades and the finishes, so you deal with one team throughout. For an example nearby, see our New Road project in Bromsgrove, a full ground floor renovation that created open plan living space. Renovation questions
What renovation work do you take on?
Kitchen and ground floor remodels, single rooms and full refurbishments. Typical work includes removing internal walls, rewiring, new heating, replastering and creating open plan living space.
If you are unsure whether to renovate or add space, our guide on whether to renovate or extend your home may help.
How long does a renovation take?
It depends on what is involved. A single room may take a few weeks, while a larger remodel with structural changes takes longer. We give you a clear programme before work starts.
Can you renovate older properties?
Yes. Older homes can have solid walls, uneven floors and original features worth keeping. We take a careful approach so the house is brought up to date without losing its character, and we check early whether any consent is needed.
Do I need planning permission for a renovation?
Most internal work does not need planning permission, but structural changes such as removing a load-bearing wall need Building Regulations approval. Listed buildings need consent for many internal changes too, so we confirm what applies before starting.
Do you work in nearby areas?
Yes. We also work in nearby Bromsgrove, Barnt Green, Blackwell and Henley-in-Arden.
