Home renovations in Lapworth
Cubit Contracts renovates homes in Lapworth and the surrounding countryside, from single rooms to whole-house refurbishments. As a third-generation family building firm, we plan carefully and finish every job properly.

Update your home and keep its character
Lapworth has many older and rural homes, from character cottages and canal-side houses to larger detached properties. Plenty have small rooms, tired kitchens and old heating and electrics that make them harder to live in than they should be.
A renovation can open up the ground floor, modernise the services and make the house more comfortable, while keeping the features that give it character. We handle the structural work, the trades and the finishes, so you deal with one team throughout.

Renovation questions
What renovation work do you take on?
Kitchen and ground floor remodels, single rooms and full refurbishments. Typical work includes taking out internal walls, rewiring, new heating, replastering and creating open plan living space.
How long does a renovation take?
It depends on what is involved. One room may take a few weeks, while a larger remodel with structural changes takes longer. We give you a clear programme before work starts.
Can you renovate cottages and older properties?
Yes. Older homes often have solid walls, uneven floors and original features worth keeping. We take a careful approach so the house is brought up to date without losing its character, and we check early whether listed building or conservation area consent is needed.
Do I need planning permission for a renovation?
Most internal work does not need planning permission, but structural changes such as removing a load-bearing wall need Building Regulations approval. Listed buildings need consent for many internal changes too, so we confirm what applies before starting.
Do you work in nearby villages?
Yes. We also work in Knowle, Dorridge, Hockley Heath and Henley-in-Arden.
