Home renovations in Dorridge
Cubit Contracts renovates homes in Dorridge and the surrounding villages, from a single room to a complete ground floor remodel. As a third-generation family building firm, we plan each project carefully and finish it properly.

Bring your home up to date
Many houses around Dorridge are Edwardian or inter-war, alongside larger detached homes and later estates. They are often well built and on good plots, but the layouts can feel dated, with a closed-off kitchen, small reception rooms and old heating and electrics.
Renovating lets you keep the location and garden you like while changing how the house works inside. We look after the structural changes, the trades and the finishes, so there is one team responsible for the whole job.

Renovation questions
What renovation work do you take on?
We take on kitchen and ground floor remodels, single rooms and full refurbishments. Typical work includes removing internal walls, new heating and electrics, replastering and creating open plan living space.
How long does a renovation take?
That depends on the scope. One room might take a few weeks, while a full ground floor remodel with structural work takes longer. You will get a clear programme from us before anything starts.
Can you renovate Edwardian and inter-war houses?
Yes. These houses often have solid walls, older services and original features worth keeping. We plan around them so the finished house feels modern without losing its character.
Do I need planning permission for a renovation?
Most internal renovation work does not need planning permission. Removing a load-bearing wall or making other structural changes does need Building Regulations approval, which we can arrange. Listed buildings and conservation areas can need extra consent.
Do you work in nearby villages?
Yes. We also work in Knowle, Hockley Heath, Lapworth and Henley-in-Arden.
